THE DRINKS

As entertaining as their name, The Drinks are a retrospective, acoustic classic rock trio, composing of impressive three part vocal harmonies reminiscent of Crosby, Stills and Nash, and a bed of two acoustic guitars and bass that cover all nuances. Producing wry original compositions and spot on interpretations of radio classics with crowd-pleasing assurance, The Drinks continue the proud tradition of the Laurel Canyon Sound; a characteristic fuse of individual vocal harmonies, smart folk lyricism, soulful acoustic and bass instrumentation reminiscent of the golden rock era. Refreshingly acoustic, daringly classic, The Drinks folk rock trio shuns flavorless trends and serves up harmonic balladry with a kick. When David Grossman, Rich Dunne and TomVicini joined forces for the first time, it was instant karma. East, West and Midwest roots commingle for the best in AM-FM singer/songwriter craftsmanship. A Quick Bio

David Grossman: From the west coast, David dedicated his whole life playing and performing live since he was 14. His credits include winning Arizona’s Best male singer songwriter and vocalist two years in a row. Winning The Garage band number one song and winning Nashville's prestigious songwriting award for best AAA song. His music is featured on Cinema Sounds and on several movie and television shows. David is a top notch finger-style guitar picker. His vocal style is all his own but with the ability to sound like James Taylor, Cat Stevens, and Neil Young on a whim. The demanding publication, "Songwriter Monthly" calls him, "A Career artist with a real past, present, and future. The smarts of Simon and the grace of Garfunkel."

Rich Dunne: From the east coast, Rich began his career in New York, on and off Broadway, appearing in dozens of off Broadway musicals such as "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Hair", and "Godspell". Rich's talents led him to work in television as a soap star and worked as a songwriter, jingle writer and session vocalist for years. Rich's power house vocals and wide 3-octave range have gotten him much praise in the industry and he has been compared to artists such as Michael McDonald, Steven Stills, and on the warmer side, Kenny Loggins. As much an asset to the group for his uniqueness, Rich is happy to be delegated as the high tenor in the group, having the ability to be comfortable singing anything in any style and in any range. When it's time for Rich to belt out, his voice has proven to be a real show stopper.

Tommy Vicini: From the Midwest, Tom is the group founder and organizer. Also an accomplished artist, Tom has led an extensive 35 year career performing, singing, and acting professionally in musicals and film since the age of 10. Tom's warm vocals complete and the trio's full bodied harmonies. His melodious 60's & 70's bass style adds dimension to The Drinks' sound padding the floor with an old school bass flavor we love to hear on our favorite classic rock tracks. Tommy has collaborated with Paul McCartney and Wings drummer Denny Siewell and co-wrote BMI internet best seller, "One Human voice". Another amusing side note, he was discovered and relocated from the Midwest to Hollywood to become better known as McDonald's "Hamburglar" for Television.

"I look forward to seeing them every chance I can get, they're a wonderful group."
